Renting Boats at the Giessen

Enjoy the beauty of the Giessen on a Chinese whisper boat (the Sampan)!

Sailing with the Sampan on the river ”the Giessen” is an unique experience.
The Giessen is one of the most beautiful small rivers in the Netherlands. The Giessen has not been discovered by many people, which makes it very unique.Therefore, it is something you have to experience, being in the Netherlands. It is located in the “green heart” of the Netherlands, near the Biesbosch.

Come and enjoy yourselves in a Sampan on the river the Giessen. Sailing with the whisper boat is “back to basic”.  The boat has an electric motor, so you won’t hear anything! Bring yourself some food and drinks or let us make a picnic basket full of delicious things for you. This makes the perfect combination to relax and enjoy the wonderful surroundings of ”the Giessen”.

The sampans are suitable for rides with family and friends, or as a company outing.

To avoid disappointments, please book in advance. During the season we are open 7 days a week.
Monday – Friday 10:00-17:00
Saturday & Sunday 12:00-17:00

The deposit has to be paid before hand, € 50,00 deposit per boat.
Dogs are allowed in the Sampan, this comes with a surcharge of € 5,00 per dog.

Attention: pay with cash, you can’t pay by card.

Parking is free of charge and sanitary facilities are available on location.

Pay attention: On the day itself you can’t hire a boat via the site. Please call: 06-34274850

In the small Sampan: max 4 adults and 2 children
In the big Sampan: max 6 adults and 2 children

Please make sure to be present 15 min before departure, so you can leave on time.
If you are too late, it will be in disadvantage for your own sailing time.
